New Suspects Surface In Hamas Dubai Hotel Assassination

Baku – APA. Authorities in Dubai reveal they have identified five additional suspects in the murder of top-ranking Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, APA reports quoting “All Headline Newsâ€.
Dubai police say the new suspects were in possession of passports from Britain, France and Australia, bringing the number of suspects in the case to 32. Previously, police had identified 27 suspects.
Al-Mabhouh was found dead in his Dubai hotel room on Jan. 20. Police say he was suffocated. Investigators believe the attack was likely carried out by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.
Israel has refused to confirm or deny any involvement in the incident.
The murder caused an international furor, with several governments over Israel’s alleged use of faked European passports by the killers.
Investigators working to ascertain the identity of the suspects and their movements before the murder have employed the use of immigration records and closed circuit TV footage of the hotel and nearby airports.
