Ukraine and US to launch new round of talks in Miami on January 17

Ukrainian and US delegations will meet in Miami on Friday, January 17. Among other things, they will work on a document on security guarantees for Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna, APA reports citintıg RBC-Ukraine.

Stefanishyna said Ukraine continues active consultations with the United States on the future security architecture and long-term economic development.

"Tomorrow in Miami, Florida, talks will take place involving National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, and Servant of the People parliamentary faction leader Davyd Arakhamia," she said.

According to the ambassador, Ukraine and the US are working on two key documents — an agreement on security guarantees and an agreement on Ukraine’s economic prosperity, with a total value of up to $800 billion. These agreements could be signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, scheduled for January 19–23.

"The purpose of the visit is to finalize these agreements with our American partners so that they best reflect Ukraine’s national interests," she said.
