The United States listened in on telephone conversations of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres with other UN officials, APA reports citing the Washington Post.
According to the media outlet, the recently released top-secret US documents contain summaries of conversations where Guterres expressed frustration with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and was defined as "outraged" by the ban on a visit to Ethiopia. In one document, Guterres was described as not being happy about visiting Kiev close to his other traveling plans.
The allegedly confidential Pentagon documents were distributed on several social media platforms in recent weeks.
