An agreement has been reached on the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Dadash Balakishi oghlu Dadashzade to Azerbaijan following negotiations held after the Prosecutor General's Office submitted a request to the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro and provided the documents required under international procedures, APA reports.
In a criminal case under preliminary investigation by the Sabunchu District Police Department, reasonable grounds for suspicion were established that Dadash Dadashzade had caused a fatal road accident. As a result, a decision was made to charge him as an accused person, and he was placed on the international wanted list through Interpol's National Central Bureau after evading the investigation and going into hiding. As a result of the measures carried out, D. Dadashzade was located and detained in Montenegro.
Relevant measures are currently being taken to bring Dadash Dadashzade to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Prosecutor General's Office will continue its cooperation with the relevant authorities of foreign countries, including Interpol, to locate wanted individuals and bring them to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
