Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Tuesday that Ottawa will provide additional military support to Ukraine and introduce a new round of sanctions against Russian nationals and businesses, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The package is expected to include assault rifles, automatic weapons, as well as one million rounds of ammunition. Meanwhile, fresh sanctions are directed toward 14 individuals and 44 legal entities with ties to Moscow.
Addressing the journalists with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal, Trudeau noted that there are dictators all around the world that look to Russian President Vladimir Putin, "curious to see if he'll succeed," which is why Canada firmly stands with Kyiv.
