Presidents of the United States and France, Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron, agreed that China has a role in ending the conflict in Ukraine and that Beijing has to be engaged in the process, the Elysee Palace announced on Thursday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Meanwhile, the White House only confirmed that Biden and Macron discussed the French leader's trip to Beijing and again agreed on the need to keep the Taiwan Strait stable and peaceful.
According to the White House, the two leaders spoke over the phone about the situation in the Indo-Pacific, specifically the ways to "advance prosperity, security, shared values, and the rules-based international order" in the region and "reiterated their steadfast support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's brutal aggression."
