Baku – APA. A video posted online shows the kidnapped brother of a former Mexican state attorney general claiming at gunpoint that he and his sister worked for a drug gang, APA reports quoting “Associated Press”.
The video posted on YouTube shows Mario Gonzalez sitting in a chair, handcuffed and surrounded by five masked men pointing guns at him.
Gonzalez is the brother of Patricia Gonzalez, who stepped down Oct. 3 as attorney general of the border state of Chihuahua. Mario Gonzalez was kidnapped Thursday.
A state attorney general’s office spokesman confirmed Monday that the man in the video is Mario Gonzalez. Calls to Patricia Gonzalez were not immediately returned.
In the video, Gonzalez says at gunpoint that his sister aided La Linea, a street gang tied to the Juarez cartel.

TIJUANA, Mexico (AP) — A client at a drug rehab center in the Mexican border city of Tijuana says a gang of armed men gunned down 13 recovering addicts there.
Prosecutors have not yet confirmed the number of dead. Police at the scene say at least 10 were killed.
The attack would be the first such mass killing at a rehab center in Tijuana, a city praised by some for its anti-gang efforts. Several attacks have killed dozens of recovering addicts in another border city, Ciudad Juarez.
The witness, who asked to be identified only by his first name, "Jesus," for fear of reprisals, says he had stepped out for something to eat when the attacked occurred late Sunday. When he returned, clients told him gunmen made the addicts lie on the floor, and then sprayed them with bullets.
