Baku-APA. Police in Peru say a plane crash near the famed Nazca lines has killed six people, APA reports quoting voanews.com website.
Officials say four British tourists and two Peruvian pilots died Saturday when the plane crashed about 460 kilometers south of Lima.
The Nazca lines are among Peru’s most famous tourist attractions. They were etched into the desert centuries ago by indigenous groups, and are only fully recognizable from the air. The lines depict images including monkeys, birds and spiders.
Tourist flights are popular, but have a history of safety problems.
In February, seven people were killed in a similar crash over the Nazca lines.
