Washington – APA. U.S. President Barack Obama broke his holiday on occasion of Holy Ramadan and spread of A/H1N1 virus in the United States and turned up to work. According to APA, President Obama gave an iftar dinner on Tuesday. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, Attorney General Eric Holder, Deputy Secretary of Trade Dennis Hightower and Deputy Secretary of Education Adam Miller were among the invitees. The congressmen, ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey and Malaysia, as well as the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Israel also attended the iftar dinner. U.S. President thanked the American Muslims for their contribution to the development of the United States. “Indeed, the contributions of Muslims to the United States are too long to catalog because Muslims are so interwoven into the fabric of our communities and our country. American Muslims are successful in business and entertainment; in the arts and athletics; in science and in medicine. Above all, they are successful parents, good neighbors, and active citizens. Happy Ramadan!”.
