Baku – APA. The 34th seminar of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) and Olympic Solidarity Forum of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have been organized in San Marino.

Press service of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan told APA that the delegates of EOC member National Olympic Committees attended the event. At the three-day seminar and forum, Azerbaijan was represented by Director of the International Relations Department of NOC Konul Nurullayeva.

Nurullayeva gave detailed information about Baku 2015 project and stressed great potential of Azerbaijan for organizing the European Games: “As we have two years left till the European Games, currently we are trying to fully establish sports and non-sports facilities, Baku 2015 will be a victory in our sports history and we are very pleased to host such great games on several kinds of sports.”

Moreover, chairman of the EOC Coordination Commission Spyros Capralos presented a report on the Commission’s meeting in Baku later last month. The report thoroughly covered the high-level organization of the Commission’s meeting, the participation of Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan and chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the First European Games, and the delegation's meetings with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
