Relations between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus are of a special nature, Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Unal Ustel said at a press conference organized in Baku on the occasion of Northern Cyprus Culture Day, APA reports.
Unal Ustel stated that these relations are not merely interstate cooperation, but ties based on a shared history, culture and brotherhood.
“Today, we have gathered here for the sake of our common future and shared goals. Relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are not ordinary interstate relations. This is a bond of hearts and a shared destiny,” the Prime Minister stressed.
He noted that the solidarity formed between Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Northern Cyprus is an important example of the unity of the Turkic world.
“We express these relations in one sentence: ‘One nation, three states.’ Türkiye and Azerbaijan are our closest brothers,” Ustel said.
The Prime Minister added that the friendship and mutual support existing between the peoples will contribute to the further development of cooperation in the coming years.
“Our common values and brotherly relations are among the greatest treasures that will be passed on to future generations,” he noted.
It should be noted that the cultural day held in Icherisheher showcases the national and cultural heritage, art, music, dances, cuisine and tourism potential of Northern Cyprus.
