Kolokoltsev’s two-day visit will take place upon the official invitation of his Iranian counterpart, Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar.
During the meeting, Mohammad-Najjar and Kolokoltsev will discuss several high-priority topics including the promotion and strengthening of relations between Tehran and Moscow, implementation of security and border agreements between the two countries, and important regional developments.
Increasing police cooperation in both educational and operational fields is another goal of the Russian official’s visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This is the first visit by Russian Minister of Internal Affairs to Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
