Slovakia has very good relations with Azerbaijan, Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment Tomas Taraba said in a statement to journalists within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that the climate issue is a high priority for Slovakia:
“When speaking about issues such as climate change, international cooperation is important. Because no country can solve these problems alone. We can only achieve this together. Today, urbanization is under serious pressure from new standards. In the European Union, we are raising standards very rapidly. But Slovakia is a country guided by common sense. We openly say that not every solution is necessarily the right one. Because sometimes, as a result of certain climate policies, more poor people are created in the world.”
