“I also participated in the Global South NGO Platform last year, and I am participating this year as well. When we talked about partnership, we said let us do something within the format of South-South cooperation. That is exactly why I proposed that a group of people from Baku could come to Nepal and stay in villages and learn from local communities," Vishnu Bhatter, Executive Director of Nepal’s “Partnership for Sustainable Development” organization, said in a statement to APA.
“At the same time, you can also share your experience with them. Perhaps they can also benefit from your experience. In this way, we can share experience and best practices without the need for large financial resources,” he added.
The Nepali NGO head stressed that we can learn from each other and become familiar with different cultures: “In this way, we can motivate people living in villages to do better work.”
He also touched upon possible directions of partnership with Azerbaijan: “We are always open to partnership with the Government of Azerbaijan. If there is any work we can do within the framework of cooperation and partnership, we are ready to lead it from the Nepalese side. We are open to any type of partnership. This could be a research project, a small-scale project, or an initiative that could be implemented in both countries. At the same time, we can also organize youth exchanges. In this way, volunteerism would be promoted, and young people would understand the importance of dedicating part of their time to volunteer activities. Through this, they would gain experience from different cultures, different people and various working environments.”
