More than 38,000 participants from 175 countries attend WUF13

More than 38,000 participants from 175 countries have attended WUF13, Katerina Bezgachina, Chief of Communication at UN-Habitat, said during the daily media briefing held within the framework of WUF13, APA-Economics reports.

She stated that during the first four days of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), more than 38,000 participants from over 175 countries took part in the event.

According to Katerina Bezgachina, more than 800 media representatives have been accredited to cover the forum.

The UN-Habitat official noted that the fourth day of the forum was dedicated to housing policy, climate resilience and inclusive urban development.

She emphasized that the sessions discussed cities’ adaptation to climate risks, the transformation of informal settlements and housing solutions that leave no one behind.

Katerina Bezgachina added that the discussions focused on areas such as linking housing policy with climate action, social rental housing models, urban restoration, preservation of cultural heritage and transforming scientific data into practical decisions.
