Baku is an example reflecting the harmonious unity of authenticity and modernization, President of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya, Mohamed Younis al-Menfi, said this during the Leaders’ Session held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, APA reports.
“On the occasion of our gathering at this important UN event, we express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, as well as to the Azerbaijani state and people for hosting the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in the city of Baku. The city of Baku is an example reflecting the harmonious unity of authenticity and modernization, heritage and a future-oriented vision of urban development. At the same time, we express our gratitude to UN-Habitat for its continuous efforts to strengthen international cooperation in addressing the challenges faced by urban communities,” Mohamed Younis Al-Menfi noted.
