The Business and Innovation Center is a completely new initiative for the World Urban Forum, Gulshan Rzayeva, Deputy Head of the Office of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture and Deputy National Coordinator of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, said during the event titled “Smart and Sustainable City Projects in Azerbaijan” held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.
“For the first time, such a platform is being created at the World Urban Forum, and based on consultations with us, UN-Habitat decided to create a separate space for business representatives, startups and innovators to come together. Here, they communicate not only with policymakers, but also with each other,” Gulshan Rzayeva noted.
According to her, the purpose of the forum is not only to discuss challenges and problems in the policy sphere, but also to bring together various partners and build relations and partnerships.
