A digital transport map has been developed for transport operations related to the WUF13 event, said Vugar Aslanov, Head of the Transport Department of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company, at a briefing on the presentation of the transport management plan during the WUF13 dates, APA-Economics reports.
He stated that this map provides participants with the entire transport plan in real time. It includes information on official hotels, transport interchange centers, routes, and their schedules.
V. Aslanov noted that the VAP portal and the green lane system have also been implemented in connection with the event:
“Through the VAP system, the entry and parking of vehicles in the area are regulated, only authorized vehicles are allowed into the area, and the system operates in coordination with state bodies.
The green lane system has already been implemented and has a total length of 41.5 km. These special lanes will be integrated into existing routes to ensure the uninterrupted and congestion-free transportation of participants to the event venue.”
“Inclusive and sustainable transport principles have also been taken into account. Accessibility for persons with physical disabilities has been ensured at transport interchange centers, city buses, and within the Baku Olympic Stadium, and appropriate transport solutions have been developed for them,” V. Aslanov added.
