"The World Urban Planning Forum will be held in Baku next year. Our country and society are actively preparing for this important event," said Ilgar Isbatov, Deputy Chairman of the State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee, at the "Baku Archifest 2025" architectural and urban planning festival organized at ADA University, APA reports.
He said that urban planning and construction processes in Azerbaijan have gained momentum after the liberation of its lands from occupation: "Currently, intensive reconstruction work is being carried out in all regions of Azerbaijan, especially in the liberated territories. Our cities, towns, villages - our once devastated settlements - are being rebuilt almost from scratch. The State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee, which I represent, is very actively participating in this process. The Committee plays an important role both in the preparation of urban planning documents and master plans for residential areas, cities, towns and villages, and in the direct implementation of these projects."
