The “green corridor” principle will be applied in terms of transport organization during WUF13, said Namidan Piriyev, head of the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at a briefing on the presentation of the transport management plan during WUF13, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that uninterrupted movement will be ensured along specially designated routes, priority passage will be provided at road intersections when necessary, and participants will be ensured timely and safe arrival at their destinations: “For this purpose, relevant measures will be taken, both traffic organization and security measures will be implemented in parallel. At the same time, considering the intensity of traffic on the opening day of the event, May 18, temporary changes may be made in some directions. These changes are mainly intended to ensure the movement of high-level guests and official delegations. However, in general, full road closures are not envisaged; only partial route changes may be applied when necessary.”
