"We can proudly say that after the liberation of our lands from occupation, we are trying to develop Karabakh as a tourist destination," Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Naghiyev said while delivering a speech at the opening ceremony of 19th Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair AITF 2023, APA reports.
He said that design works are being carried out in the direction of creating the primary tourism infrastructure in Tugh village, Hadrut settlement, around Shahbulag castle in Aghdam: "The construction of a tourism complex around the Suguvushan reservoir is ongoing. We believe that tourism will be one of the leading areas to ensure the livelihood of our people".
