Azerbaijan's tourists increased by 44% in First Half of 2023

918,800 foreigners and stateless persons from 181 countries of the world arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan in January-June 2023, or 43.9 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year, APA reports citing information released by State Border Service.

In comparison to January-June of 2022, the number of arrivals from the CIS countries increased by 1.9 times to 385.8 thousand people, the number of arrivals from the EU member states increased by 40.0% to 46.7 thousand people, the number of arrivals from the Gulf countries increased by 8.9 % decreased to 134.2 thousand people.

68.8 percent of foreigners and stateless persons who visited Azerbaijan used air lines, 29.8 percent used railway and automobile, and 1.4 percent used sea transportation.
