Youth Foundation financed 1021 projects in 2013

65 percent of the projects supported by the Foundation were implemented in the regions

Baku. Gulnar Bashirova - APA. Youth Foundation under the President of Azerbaijan Republic held a conference on the outcomes of 2013, APA reports.

Executive Director of the Youth Foundation Farhad Hajiyev said 290 youth organizations and 2483 young people had been registered at the website of the Youth Foundation. Hajiyev said 129 out of 176 project applications made within the 1st grant competition, 170 out of 387 project applications made within the 2nd grant competition, 331 out of 421 project applications made within the 3rd grant competition and 391 out of 668 individual applications made within the 4th grant competition were supported. According to the results of four competitions, 1641 applications were made, 1021 projects received financial support. This accounts for 62 percent of the total applications. 65 percent of the projects supported by the Foundation were implemented in the regions.

1374 people were given salaries in the projects financed by the Foundation, 48 internet resources were launched within the projects. 581 933 promotional materials were published and distributed with the support of the Youth Foundation.

Farhad Hajiyev said new online data bases will be created about the youth organizations and their projects in 2014.

Executive Director of the Youth Foundation said the meeting of the European youth foundations will be held in September. According to him, the meeting will give an impetus to the enhancement of cooperation and exchange of experience between the Youth Foundation and these organizations.
