Winners of "Emergency situations through the eyes of children" competition awarded

The Academy of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations hosted Wednesday an exhibition and award ceremony of the winners of the 6th republic-wide children’s art competition “Emergency situations through the eyes of children”.

The competition was organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the support of the Ministry of Education.

Prior to the award ceremony, Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kemaleddin Heydarov and Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov viewed the exhibition.

The event began with a performance of the national anthem of Azerbaijan.

The main objective of the competition was to teach children the basics of life safety, to identify talented children and to support them, to draw public attention to issues related to emergency situations.

The republic-wide competition involved drawings, placards, handicrafts, models of firefighting and rescue technologies.

A total of 498 drawings, 250 placards, 222 handicrafts, 215 models of firefighting and rescue technologies, and 149 soft toys were presented to the Organizing Committee.

The Organizing Committee gave rewards for 40 drawings, 38 placards, 33 handicrafts, 20 models of firefighting and rescue technologies and 13 soft toys.

The winners were awarded the honorary titles and diplomas of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Education.
