Specialty selection to be held for vacancies in Azerbaijani colleges

Baku – APA. Registration of students who gain admittance to colleges in Azerbaijan finished on Aug. 30, the country’s State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) told APA on Aug. 31.

Although 152 vacancies still remain after the competition, after the registration process it became clear that 1,068 applicants had not registered at relevant colleges.

So the number of remaining vacancies is 1,220 overall.

The number of students who participated in the competition on the basis of general secondary education, but failed to score sufficiently is close to 11,000. These applicants will be able to take part in the competition for vacancies.

Specialty selection for vacancies in colleges on the basis of complete secondary education (11 years) will be conducted via the Internet from 1 September 10:00 to 4 September 23:59 PM.

Applicants who submitted their application for college in 2016, with a score above 20 and a minimum of 8 points on mother tongue and math will be eligible to participate in specialty selection.

Those who have gained admittance to any educational institution and have registered cannot take part in specialty selection.

The list of college vacancies will be published in a special edition of the magazine "Abituriyent".
