Ninety-one percent of domestic violence crimes in Azerbaijan are committed by people with secondary education, an official of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs said on Thursday.
People with higher education (1.1 percent) are less likely to commit domestic violence crimes in the country, said Elgun Safarov, head of the Committee’s information and analytical research department.
According to Safarov, nearly seven percent of domestic violence perpetrators are graduates of vocational schools.
“Over ninety-five percent of domestic violence perpetrators are men and 4.3 percent are women,” he added.
