Name, surname and patronymic change in Azerbaijan to be possible within 25 days upon e-request

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Justice has approved the Administrative Regulations on the admission of documents and applications for state registration of civil status act on changing name, surname and patronymic.

This electronic service defines the rules for the admission of documents and applications in electronic form, without appearance at a registering authority.

Other executives of the e-service (http://www.e-gov.az; http://exidmet.justice.gov.az) provided by the Justice Ministry are city and regional law-enforcement bodies of the Interior Ministry. The e-service is partially automated. The period for the service implementation is 25 days. However, the period required for issuance of opinion by law-enforcement bodies and for receipt from the relevant bodies of foreign states of relevant data on the request made by an Azerbaijani citizen born abroad is excluded.

The state fee for the e-service, which is available for individuals over 18 years, is 10 manats.

The maximum period for implementation of administrative operations related to the e-service must not exceed 25 days.
