Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations has addressed the public in connection with fire safety regulations on New Year's Day
The ministry in connection with increased danger of fire on the eve of the New Year has given some public recommendations.
The ministry recommends that Christmas trees be fixed firm on the floor and not touch the wall or the ceiling, appropriate devices be used for lightening, no combustible ornaments be put on the Christmas tree, and there be no fireworks indoors, there be no celebrations above the second floor, the floor, ceiling, and walls of the place be refractory, there be no iron bars at the balcony, the place have two exits, there be a green-light electric “exit” board on the second door, the room’s doors be opened out, the place not be crowded, the lights not be switched off completely, comers not wear combustible clothes, and fire extinguishers be available in the room.
