Man engaged in illegal sale of horse meat detained in Azerbaijan

Ismayilli. Elvin Yagubov – APA. A man engaged in the illegal sale of horse meat in Azerbaijan’s Ismayilli district has been detained.

The local district police office has received anonymous information that the man has illegally sold horse meat from May till September this year. Vugar Ziriyev (1978) was detained while cutting three horses at the farm in the Garabash settlement. 300 kg of horse meat was seized and handed over to the district veterinary office. The meat was sent to the Republican State Veterinary Laboratory for an examination.

The fact is being investigated.
