Delivering a speech, MP Igbal Aghazadeh said that compensation offered to the residents doesn’t allow their provision with new houses.
MP noted that the amount of the compensation should be reconsidered: “We should at least provide houses to those having small flats. Removing people from their homes and giving them small amount of money may cause public dissatisfaction. I offer the Parliament to appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers in this regard and reconsider this issue.”
Speaker Ogtay Asadov said in response that Cabinet of Ministers would hold special meeting on this issue in a few days and would inform the Parliament about the results: “Nobody will be forced to move from the houses. We are waiting for the outcomes of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. If needed, the Parliament will also say its word in this regard.”
