Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu - APA. “Inventory has not been stopped in Sovetski settlement of Baku, there was just a break in connection with Novruz holiday,” Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov told APA.
Noting that inventory will be continued, Abid Shariov said it is applied only to the houses and facilities whose owners agree to move.
“We measure the houses and facilities of the residents who appeal to us. Those who do not want to leave, may continue living there,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister said 302 families living in Sovetski settlement had appealed regarding compensations by March 19. The commission considered and solved 166 of them, the money for 73 facilities have already been paid. 10-15 appeals regarding compensations were received from Sovetski residents every day.
Sharifov said the issue regarding small houses will be considered after the inventory is completed.
At the meeting held on March 3, Abid Sharifov said the government’s offer of AZN 1,500 per m² remains in force. AZN 400 will be paid to every family to carry their belongings and AZN 1,000 for two-month rent.
Head of the organizing committee set up by Sovetski residents Namig Guliyev told APA that after the meeting between the members of the organizing committee and government officials on March 3, the process of inventory was stopped. He said the local residents do not intend to agree to the compensation of AZN 1500 per m², those who agree to the compensation are the persons, who moved to Sovetski several years ago.
“We want these people to leave Sovetski. According to our forecasts, 10-12 percent of Sovetski residents will agree to the government’s offer of AZN 1500 per m² and leave. It will be clearer in 2 months,” he said.
