Rector of ADA University Hafiz Pashayev made the remarks on Saturday at a meeting related to the “State Program on education of Azerbaijani youth abroad for 2007-2015” students’ involvement in academic activity, APA reports.
According to the rector, there are some students who enter university with high score, but then reduce their efforts as they study free. “Therefore, we would like to put forward such an initiative to put a limit on the refugee students. If a refugee student gets lower mark than a certain limit, we can deprive him or her of privileges. Now the time has come to consider this issue”, stressed the rector.
Pashayev noted that today, salaries of teachers in higher education depend on universities’ opportunities which also depend on students. “We try to take funds from students and pay to teachers and those who work well. We don’t want to pay foreign teachers more than local teachers”, said the rector.
