As part of Khankendi City Day, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Photographers’ Union jointly organized the opening of the photo exhibition titled “Karabakh – From Lens to History,” showcasing the rich history and natural beauty of Karabakh, APA’s correspondent, dispatched to Khankendi, reports.
The exhibition was held at the Congress Center in Khankendi.
The main aim of the exhibition is to present to the public, through the lenses of professional photographers, the natural beauty, historical monuments, and reconstruction processes in the liberated territories of Karabakh, an ancient land of Azerbaijan. The event also symbolizes the revival of the region, reflecting the Victory achieved by our people in the Patriotic War.
The exhibition featured works by prominent photographers including Fatali Fataliyev, Arif Alakbar, Vuqar Ibadov, Kamran Asadov, Sabir Mammadov, Tapdig Abdullayev, Sajaddin Huseynov, Mahir Gahramanov, Abdulla Safi, Asif Mustafazade, Fariz Valiyev, Teymur Mammadov, Rasul Rahimov, Hormat Omarov, Elman Huseynov, and Alp Ar Tunqa Jabbarli. Each photographer presented unique perspectives capturing the spirit of Karabakh, as well as the harmony between ancient monuments and modern development.
The “Karabakh – From Lens to History” exhibition aims not only to familiarize the public with the current life and future prospects of Karabakh but also to raise awareness about the preservation of the region’s cultural and historical values.
It should be noted that, by decree of President Ilham Aliyev, September 20 is celebrated as the day of the cities of Khankendi, Khojaly, Khojavand, and Aghdara.
