Ombudsman: "We call on Armenia to avoid from actions, which jeopardize lives and health of Azerbaijani civilians"

Tensions on Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, which are already observed for a while as a result of provocative actions of Armenia, which are contrary to international legal norms and provisions of the trilateral statement dated November 10, 2020, still continue, Ombudsman Apparatus told APA.

Continuing provocative actions, Armenian armed forces units subjected to fire Azerbaijani Army positions in the direction of Munjuglu village of Tovuz district from the positions in the Chinari settlement of the Berd region using small arms at 23:05 on August 13.

We call on Armenia to avoid such kinds of provocative actions, which jeopardize lives and health of Azerbaijani civilians, gross violation of fundamental human rights, signing a final peace agreement which is important from political-economic development of the region by recognizing and respecting Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. create condition for establishment of communication lines by following terms of trilateral statement among parties.
