Number of babies born in last 6 months revealed in Azerbaijan

In January-June of the current year, the birth of 66687 babies in the country was recorded by district (city) registration departments of the Ministry of Justice, APA reports citing State Statistics Committee.

This indicator per person hasn’t changed and remained at the same level (13,6) in comparison with the relevant period of the previous year year. 53,4 per cent of born babies are male, while 46,6 per cent of newborns are female. 1478 of the newborns are twin, while 36 of them are triplets.
