Five years have passed since the liberation of Khudaferin village in the Jabrayil district from Armenian occupation, APA reports.
On the 22nd day of the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, the Azerbaijani Army liberated the historic Khudaferin bridges and Khudaferin village from occupation on October 18, 2020.
On the same day, the Azerbaijani Army also freed the Hajili and Haji Isagli villages of the Jabrayil district from occupation.
During nearly 30 years of occupation, the Armenians, as in other territories, devastated Khudaferin village, turning it into ruins—destroying homes, administrative buildings, and all other structures.
The liberation of the Khudaferin bridges and Khudaferin village is considered one of the notable events of the Patriotic War.
The restoration of control over the Khudaferin bridges—which have played an important role in the history and destiny of the Azerbaijani people—further strengthened the Azerbaijani Army’s confidence in victory and became one of the key factors leading to the enemy’s military and psychological defeat.
