Etibar Mirzayev: "The fire in Koychagiz is almost under control"

"Today there were fires around Koychagiz and Bodrum. Other fires are under control. It is already possible to say that the fire in Koychagiz is almost under control. We will probably hear good news tomorrow," Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev said at a special meeting of the Crisis Center in Mugla, APA's correspondent in Turkey.

The deputy minister said that about 500 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations served in Yenikoy, Kemarkoy, Koyjagiz and Ilanli mountain: "Coincidentally, a fire broke out in Ilanli Mountain. We had more than 30 cars and about 150 personnel there. As a result of their quick intervention, the fire was prevented from spreading to a large area. If there was a slight delay in extinguishing the fire, it would be very difficult to prevent it."

Mirzayev noted that Azerbaijani firefighters were treated well in all cities and regions of Turkey: "It was also an experience for us. We are always with Turkey. Long live the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood."

Note that the event was attended by Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, Minister of Transport and Technology Adil Karaismailoglu, Minister of Environment and Urban Development Murat Kurum and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli and Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Etibar Mirzayev.
