Baku Police: Information disseminated on fans’ attack on rival team in Qarabag match is fake

“The news, disseminated in social networks and some sport information websites, on fans’ attack on rival team during Third Qualifying round games of the Championship League held in Baku is unreal”, Chief of the Press Service of the Baku city Main Police Department, police major Elshad Hajiyev told APA.

According to him, the game finished in the condition of high security, there has not been observed any negative case. Transformation attempts of the incidents occurred during matches held in other foreign countries to yesterday’s match aims at misleading public opinion: “We say definitely that Armenian flag has not been raised in the game held in Baku, not any fact has been recorded about this issue. If that fact exists, then we advise to present it to Baku city Main Police department.”

This information is denied definitely by Baku city Main Police Department. “It has been written unreasonable without any clarification with the police, claims are disinformation. It is advised to press representatives to clarify the accuracy of information before publishing in order to prevent dissemination of false information and repetition of such cases in the future.
