An international conference on “Relations between the judiciary and the other two powers of the state,” marking the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” was held on October 14 at the Baku Congress Center as part of the 67th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Judges (IAJ), APA reports.
The event brought together 300 participants from 71 countries, including judges, lawyers, government officials, representatives of international organizations, and prominent legal experts.
Addressing the event, President of the Azerbaijan Union of Judges Ramiz Rzayev described the rule of law as one of the cornerstones of democratic society.
The conference continued with a Q&A session.
An award ceremony was also held at the conference. Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council, Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov, and Ramiz Rzayev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Judges Association, were awarded the honorary medal of the International Association of Judges.

An international conference under the theme “The Relations between the judiciary and the other two powers of the state” dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” is being held at the Baku Congress Center within the framework of the 67th General Assembly of the International Association of Judges (IAJ), APA reports.
The event is attended by the of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council Inam Karimov, Chairman of the Judges’ Union of Azerbaijan Ramiz Rzayev, as well as other local and foreign officials.
Note that the conference is being held within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.”
