"The task set by President Ilham Aliyev to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) in connection with the fires in Turkey has been fully fulfilled," Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev said, APA's correspondent sent to Turkey reports.
The deputy minister noted that in a meeting held on August 12 in the Mugla crisis center, information has been officially given about complete extinguishing of the fires: “During this period, we shoulder to shoulder with local firefighters have achieved to extinguish the fires, cool and to cut the trees. The goal of us and local firefighters was to prevent fires from spreading strategic and populated areas”.
