Several state departments, as well as individual organizations and ordinary citizens, began an aid campaign a few days back in connexion with the natural disaster in Türkiye, namely, the earthquake that had taken a heavy toll on life and casualties, APA reports citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.
The Milli Majlis has, too, joined this humanitarian campaign that President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has praised highly.
Forty portable power generators, badly needed in the disaster-hit area, have been purchased with the money donated by the members of the Milli Majlis as well as the employees of the parliamentary Staff and Affairs Department. Those generators have already been sent to the fraternal country.
