A database on the implementation of children’s rights will be established, APA reports.
This is reflected in the new draft Law “On the Rights of the Child” discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Family, Women and Children’s Affairs.
Under the draft law, the state will carry out the collection and analysis of information related to ensuring children’s rights and freedoms, including cases of discrimination and violence against children, their causes and consequences, the persons who commit such acts and those held accountable, the prevention of violations of child rights, and the effectiveness of protection measures, and will ensure that the public is informed about this.
In order to provide state oversight over the implementation of children’s rights and to organize the swift and coordinated resolution of children’s issues by state bodies (institutions), a database on the implementation of children’s rights will be established. The database will be organized and managed by a body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
