Usage of any type of ethyl alcohol in the production of energy drinks will not be permitted from January 1. And the weight mass of carbohydrates in these drinks will not be exceeding 11%, the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
“It is not recommended to be used by the elderly, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people suffering from diabetes, heart failure, kidney failure, hypertonic diseases, nerve awakening, insomnia, and people with metabolic problems” warning must be written on the label of the energy drinks according to the "Temporary sanitary standards and regulations on Energy Drinks" prepared by AFSA.
Note that, the sale of energy drinks to people under 18 will be prohibited according to the “Temporary sanitary standards and regulations on Energy Drinks" starting from January 1.
