Another group of former IDPs departs for Shukurbeyli village in Jabrayil

Another convoy of former internally displaced persons has departed for Shukurbeyli village in Azerbaijan's Jabrayil district, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons told APA.

As instructed by President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation is continuing, APA reports.

The families relocating to Shukurbeyli village in the Jabrayil district had been temporarily accommodated in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

At this stage, 9 families, comprising 52 people, have been resettled in Shukurbeyli village.

The residents returning to their native homes expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive care provided by the state. They also thanked the brave Azerbaijani Army, its heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the country's territories from occupation, and honored the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in this cause.
