On October 21, the 35th anniversary meeting of the Coordination Council of General Prosecutors of the Participating States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Dushanbe, the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
At the meeting attended by the heads of the prosecution bodies of the CIS, Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation led by the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elchin Mammadov, including the Prosecutor of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Sanan Pashayev, the Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments, Teymur Garayev, the Head of the Criminalistics and Information Technologies Department, Talib Jafarov, and the Deputy Head of the Department of International Legal Cooperation, Babek Zakirzadeh.
During the visit, Elchin Mammadov met with the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan, Habibullo Vohidzoda.
The meeting noted that the friendly and mutually trusting relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan are based on historical roots and shared values.
