A relevant electronic database reflecting the borders of administrative regions, names, and borders of cities, center of districts and other residential settlements on the basis of geographical information system has been created, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
Measures are being taken to transform the GIS database into an open data format with the involvement of private sector representatives.
As well as the information reads that the names of 4,590 cities, districts, settlements, villages, and administrative-territorial units in all cities and regions of the country have been prepared in the initial the version in Russian and English.
