Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov: â€œConstruction of Olympic Stadium in Baku will commence in the next few daysâ€

Following the meeting, the Minister made clear a number of issues related to the sport life in Ganja in his interview with the journalists. He said that the reconstruction of Kapaz Stadium was not included in the investment plan and it would be carried out by the teamâ€™s sponsors. â€œWe would like to construct and repair the stadiums with the support of business people and sponsorsâ€. The Minister said stadiums included in the Governmentâ€™s investment plan, including Naftalan, Shaki, Zira, Buzovna, Mingachevir and Lerik stadiums were under reconstruction now. Rahimov said construction of Youth City in Baku wouldnâ€™t be realized this year. He said that the project and cost sheet of the Olympic Stadium in Baku were elaborated and construction works would commence in the next few days.
