Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov meets with Romaniaâ€™s Deputy Minister of Interior and Administrative Reform

Following this, Romanian Deputy Minister met with Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov. The sides underlined that there was great potential to improve bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania and noted the importance of effectively using the existing opportunities to strengthen the cooperation.
Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov said that one of the main directions of reforms carried out in Azerbaijan was to take necessary measures for the safety of the population. The minister briefed the guest about the activity of the ministry and activities carried out to forma the system in compliance with international standards. Kamaladdin Heydarov noted that though Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Emergency Situations had been founded over two years before, the ministry established relations with the relevant bodies of a number of developed states and benefited from their experience in this sphere. Noting that the visit of Romanian delegation would give an impulse to the extension of the relations between the relevant bodies of the two countries, Kamaladdin Heydarov expressed his confidence that the agreement planned to be signed soon would give an impetus to the development of the concrete sphere.
Victor Paul Dobre said joint efforts in combating emergency situations and mutual assistance were effective. The sides discussed draft document on cooperating in prevention and reduction of the results of disasters.
Within the framework of his one-day visit to Azerbaijan Romaniaâ€™s Deputy Minister of Interior and Administrative Reform Victor Paul Dobre will visit local departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
