Human Rights defender meets Ruslan Bashirli and Said Dadashbayli

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayliâ€“APA. Elchin Behbudov, Head of Azerbaijani Committee against Tortures has visited Khatai Police Department Detention Facility, detention facilities #1,15 today, Committee Chairman told APA that he had met Ruslan Bashirli, Head of the Yeni Fikir (New Thinking) youth group in detention facility #1.
â€œRuslan Bashirli has health problems and asked for help to release from the jailâ€, he said. He has met former businessman Baku resident Chingiz Mirzayev, who sentenced to 9-year imprisonment, in detention facility #15.
â€œThe prisoner noted that he was interrogated about repots on deceased journalist Elmar Huseynovâ€, he said. Mirzayev suffers from nervous disease and he is treated in medical unit. Behbudov added that he had met prisoner Israil Ismayil Gozalov, who was mental patient.
â€œIsrail sentenced to 9-year imprisonment. He was sent to medical unit for treatment, but he was not received. Leadership of jail confirmed itâ€, he said. Human Rights defender stated that he had met Said Dadashbayli and noted that he had not complaints about detention condition. To him, Dadashbayli will appeal to the court on the decision. Behbudov added that Elbrus Aliyev, head of GEN LLC was sent from Khatai Police Department detention facility to detention facility #1 in Bayil on June 30.
