Members of Public Committee for Control over Penitentiary System to visit Gobustan jail

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayli-APA. Members of Public Committee for Control over Penitentiary System under Justice Ministry will visit Gobustan jail soon, coordinator of the committee Sahib Mammadov told APA. He said that members of the committee would investigate the suicide committed in the jail some days before. Mammadov expressed concern over two suicides committed in the jail in June and added that the committee would focus on this case.
Life-term prisoner Adalat Gulamov hanged himself in Gobustan jail on June 22. Criminal case has been launched on the fact on article 304.1 (runaway from a place of imprisonment, from place of arrest or from place of guard) and 125 (bringing to suicide) of the Criminal Code. Life-term prisoner Karimov Zeynal Hajiaga also committed suicide in the jail on June 3.
